Potato Day

Saturday 2nd February 2008

Now is the time to get your seed potatoes if you want to get an early crop. We will have more than 100 varieties on sale and this is a great chance to get some tips and tricks from the experts. Special offers on the day and fun for the kids too.

Grow Your Own Veg Day

Sunday 17th February 2008

Whether you have an allotment or a window box, there will be something that you can grow to eat - and it's sure to taste better too.

Experts will be on hand to give advice on picking the best crop to grow as well as special offers and fun for the kids.

National Nest Box Week

Wednesday 14th February to Wednesday 21st February 2008

The garden birds need all the help they can get - early Spring is the time to put up a nest box so come along and we can help you choose the best type. Special promotions will run all week.

Easter At Eggesford

Friday 21st March to Monday 24th March 2008

Come along to Eggesford Gardens over the Easter Weekend - there will be a fun Easter Picture Hunt for the kids with lucky dip prizes for correct entries. Super special offers for the gardener along with a prize draw. You can also enjoy Easter treats in the Gardens Restaurant.

Fuchsia and Pelargonium Show

Saturday 12th / Sunday 13th July 2008

A profusion of fuchsia and pelargonium varieties, ranging from hardy, trailing and standard, will be on display throughout the weekend. Many varieties will be available for purchase and there will also be experts on hand to give helpful tips and advice.

Herb, Health and Natural Healing

Saturday 20th September 2008

Featuring natural product makers, herbalists and therapists, this event promotes health and well-being. A wide range products such as soaps, creams and lotions for cosmetic and medicinal use will be available. We will also have a large range of culinary and medicinal herbs on show and for sale along with expert advice on growing.

Countryside and Wildlife Day

Sunday 5th October 2008

A focus on the local environment and native flora and fauna in the surrounding area. Experts will be on hand from Devon Wildlife Trust and other well known organisations. Lots of information and tips on how to encourage wildlife in your garden along with a wide range of supporting products.

Apple and Cider Fair

Saturday 18th / Sunday 19th October 2008

A great weekend event to celebrate the English apple.

Apple displays - many old and unusual varieties. Apple, cider, liqueur, wine and cheese tasting. Home made cakes, preserves, biscuits, chocolates and sweets. Apple pressing and lots more.

Autumn Craft Fair

Sunday 2nd November 2008

A fair to show the best of arts and crafts by artists who live and work in Devon.

Works on offer will include original paintings, prints and hand-made card, jewellery, basketry, wood crafts and decorative ceramics.

Antique and Collectors Fair

Sunday 16th November 2008

With a wide range of antiques and collectables, the Antique and Collectors fair is a great opportunity to pick up an unusual Christmas present.

Exhibitors will include specialists in named china (e.g. Beswick), jewellery, toys and costumes to name a few.

Christmas Craft Fair

Sunday 30th November 2008

Christmas Food Fair

Sunday 14th December 2008

This festive food fair provides a great opportunity to sample  some of the wonderful local produce available in Devon. Produce will include biscuits, chocolates, cakes, quiches, patés, preserves, chutneys, fruit juices and other beverages. Great for the Christmas larder.
